Are you prepared?

Monday- rest day
Tuesday-5 mile run (46 min), 20min yoga
I met my running peeps for a few easy miles this morning.  Wait, someones missing.
Ah there she is.
JoDee forgot to set her alarm.
I bet she doesn't forget again.  If you leave your running peeps hangin there will be consequences ;-)
I think you all know that I always wear my Road Id when I'm working out.  I wear it cycling, running, racing, hiking, etc.
But what about when I'm not working out?
What about those quick runs to the grocery store, or walks to the park? What about vacations I take?  I don't usually have emergency contact on me.
Yeah, I might have my drivers license but how long would it take to locate my husband with just my drivers license info?
What if I was in another state?
As a wife and a mother I feel it is my responsibility to make sure I stay safe but things happen.  Accidents happen and medical emergency's arise that can leave you unable to communicate vital information.
We need to make sure the authorities have the vital information they need; such as important medical and emergency contacts.
That's where EmergencyLink comes in.
They provide a unique service; a free 24-Hour Emergency Response Network that allows you to create an emergency plan, share your plan with family/friends and has a 24-Hour Emergency Response center to execute your plan in an emergency. They provide a free tech solution to an age-old problem; how to share emergency contact info with those close to you with the push of a button!<-------their own words, like you couldn't tell, my sentences never sound that smart ;-)
Each kit comes with a card for your purse, tags for you keys or running shoes, a larger tag for a backpack or luggage and my favorite, two stickers for the back of your phone and drivers licence.   They got you covered!
I emailed them double checking that this service is completely free and..........it is!
You can't beat that!  My road ID cost me $15 and I only have my name, phone numbers and age on it.
This is free and they can relay important medical information too.
I have always worried about my parents who live in two different states and travel about quite a bit.  How would the authorities get a hold of me if they needed to get bailed outta jail something happened?  How long would it take to track me down?
I love the EmergencyLink not only for me and my family but for my parents who are always getting into trouble traveling.
I'm really glad that EmergencyLink  contacted me and made me aware of their services.  I hope you will run over Here and check them out.
Be prepared and enjoy the journey!

  1. Great reminder. I don't always run with mine on and I probably should more. I am just so rural it creates a false sense of safety.

  2. Do you think ROAD ID will make something for the Zombie Apocalypse?
