Saturday-8 mile run (1:15), 20 min yoga
Sunday-4.2 mile run (38 min)
Friday's bike. Dead legs, head wind in every direction. Lame.
I didn't know the the wind could blow North, South, East and West, at the same time.
Now I do.
Saturday's run was great because it was with friends. I've really missed running with Steph. Her Boston Bound training plan doesn't really sync with my cupcake bound training plan but we made it work.
i.e. she ran slow
Sunday's run was just for kicks! Something in the air made me want to run.
So I did.
It was one of the best runs ever!
I had to make a run to Ikea on Saturday. S A T U R D A Y.
It was as horrible as it sounds.
So like I always do when I am out and about I looked for bakeries in the area. It makes Saturday, Ikea trips bearable.
Gigi's popped up on my search.
I'm not much of a fan of chain shops but I rarely let that stop me from getting a cupcake.
It was a cute little shop with a big selection of cupcakes.
They pile on the frosting which always speaks to my heart.
I got a mocha, a Kentucky Bourbon pecan, and a wedding cake one.
They were good and will certainly take care of your sweet tooth but they do have that mass produced quality. I liked a lot of things about them though. The wedding cake was really moist, the chocolate frosting was yummy, and I really like the idea of a Bourbon pecan pie in a cupcake. It's just something about big chains that miss the mark for me.
I can't quite put my finger on it.
Of course we still ate them. We needed the extra energy to put together the bookcases we bought at Ikea.
And by we I mean not me. I supervise.
Besides I think these boys have it all under control.
Those cupcakes have me salivating! great job on all the runs!
