Three things and one gross thing

5 mile run (45min), 20 min yoga
The day was beautiful!  The run, ehh.
My legs were still heavy after yesterdays bonk.  I don't blame them.

1>My first thing is a confession.
I've turned into a sock snob.
I use to make fun of my running peeps who were so enamored with their socks.
They were always yacking about how great they were and how they only run with their magic socks.
Yada, yada, yada.
I sooo teased them.  I made fun of their "special" socks.  I made fun of their dedication to them.  SOCKS of all things.
A $10 pack of champion socks from Costco was good enough for me.
Until I happened upon these babies.
Now, I am one of those running geeks who needs their special socks to have a good run.
I'm embarrassed.

2>
Derek and Allison over at Parents on the Run have been talking about these great bars.
Those two are crazy speedy so I figured if I ate what they ate it would have some effect on me, right?
Made sense to me.
Well, I'm not any speedier but I am addicted to these bars.
They are delicious!!
The only down side is they are pretty expensive and they have to be refrigerated.
But good golly they are yummy.

3>
I'm been loving scarfs lately.  You know to take the chill off these cool 70 degree days.
It's silly, I know but I love wearing them.  Especially if they have bikes all over them.
I found this at Old Navy, I think it was made just for me and the other 4 million people who shop there!!

The one gross thing>
I
I got a runners toenail that won't come off.
And ugly toes, I know.
When have I even done any mileage worthy of a runners toe?
I need a pedi bad but I can't take that mess into the nail salon.
Anyone one else have a toenail that is still hanging on by the corner?  FOREVER.  Whats a girl to do?
I'm gonna paint it.
Soooo pretty.

  1. Whenever I have a nail that's all crazy from running I go the painting route, too. (I also practice yoga a lot and I'm afraid that someone at the studio is going to judge me for having gross runner feet.) I have some of the Balega hidden comfort socks and I really like them for runs in cooler months. My feet get too sweaty when I try to wear them in the summer; I need a sock that's a little thinner for warmer weather runs. I hope your legs feel better soon and that you have a great weekend!
