Tabata Gonna Hurtta

Thursday- 3 mile run, 1 hour Tabata class
Friday-16.4 miles (1:11)
Arizona winter returns!!  I promise won't complain about the weather again.
Or at least not until it veers away from this perfection.
Shorts and a T in January!
Low to mid 70's is the sweet spot.  The mornings are perfect for a run or bike and the daytime is perfect for the park with the kids.
It's bliss.  And so was my run yesterday!  It was heavenly.   I went Garmin less but I'm sure I was flying ;-)
Man if every run could be like this the entire world would run and think how happy everyone would be!
Imagine all the people in the world on a runners high.
Happy, happy, joy, joy!
This is not what a runners high looks like.  This is what it looks like after your "friend" invites you to the gym to take a "fun" class.
A Tabata class.  I have heard a lot about Tabata so I was looking forward to trying it.
Tabata training goes like this:
• 4 minutes long (whole Tabata Session)
• 20 seconds of intense training (think squat jacks, pushups, jumping lundges, box jumps, etc)
• 10 seconds of rest
• Total of 8 sessions or rounds
It sounds fairly easy.  I like things with rest breaks.
Our class was 40 minutes followed by some core work.  I think.
I blacked out.
Today every time I walk up the stairs or try to get up off of a chair I think of how nice my "friends" are.
I was super stoked to have some strong winds this morning for my ride.  There's nothing better than tired, sore legs to concur the winds with.<------pure sarcasm
I had to check the speedometer a couple times to make sure I was even moving.
I was.
Barely.
I would have been better served pedaling with cooked noodles.
Mmmmm noodles.
