Freezing? What?

Friday-2200yd swim
Saturday-17.4 mile bike(1:07)
We have been having some weird weather.  High of 46?  Low of 21?
Where am I?
I'm sure this is punishment for all my complaining this summer.
Saturday I decided to forgo the snowsuit and ride in the afternoon when it was a bit warmer.
It was a gorgeous ride.
Aaaaaand very um....educationally interesting.
I so wish this was a better picture.  I was in a major hurry to get home before the sun set since I forgot my light.  Face palm.
It's an entire tree, a giant tree wrapped in plastic.
Everyone's yard looks like a garage sale gone bad.  You get to see what sheets your neighbors had in the 80's, what towels they probably got as a wedding present and the dirty blankets they probably use for their sick dog.
Why you ask is everyone airing their dirty laundry, covering tops of the cactus with cups or building tarp forts all over their yards?
Well, because it's flippin freezing outside and the Arizona plants are just as irritated as the snow birds are.
They need cover or their beauty wilts in the cold and their amazing fruit freezes, the plants not the snowbirds.
Who knew?
old pic
I hope our orange trees make it and we don't loose much fruit.  They are like our children now; we gently tuck them in at night.
I'm sure they'll turn out fine.

  1. Check out that 39 and 72 - that's one heck of a swing. Start the day in layers and come home in a tank top.
