A few things I'm diggin

No workouts to report. I've been laying low tending to my wounds and sudden fear of riding a bike.
It is really hard to miss workouts in this crucial point of training but I believe that rest is the best thing right now.
I woke up really sore and stiff on Monday but today was much better.
Todd took Monday off (he rocks, I know) so I could do a lot of this.
It was exactly what I needed.  A little extra rest, a nap (um, 2hrs! edit by Todd) and a good night sleep made today much better.  I decided not to run or swim today to give my body a little more time to heal.   Tomorrow I'm easing back into it.  Fingers crossed I feel good.
I have a bike workout on the schedule.
I'm scared.  I've lost some trust in myself and my abilities.
Unfortunately training wheels aren't allowed in Ironman so I don't have time to sit around acting like a pansy.
Tomorrow I'm gonna cry get back on my bike and ride it like I stole a very delicate carton of eggs it.

Enough of that, let's talk about a few things I've been loving.
I am pretty sure I have told ya about my love for the Stinger waffle.  I love eating them on the bike.  The chocolate waffle takes it to a new level.  An even more delicious level.
The Stinger chews are pretty amazing as well and I can't seem to get enough of the Pink Lemonade flavor.  I think it's because they are slightly tart.
The waffles and the chews have been powering me through my long bike workouts.
I  have mentioned that I'm going through all my training cloths and nutrition like crazy.  Well, ordering things online has helped keep the cost and the trips to the store down.
Win, win.
One of my favorite places to order is SwimOutlet.com.  I get all my training swim suits through them because they are always cheaper than in the store.  I have ordered tri kits, cycling jerseys, kids stuff and some of my nutrition as well with good results.  It makes my life easier and I need that right now.
I found this amazing box of goodness at the grocery store this weekend and I am obsessed.
I love dill any way I can get it.
Last but not least lets give a big hurrah for Target clearance.  I scored a running skirt and a new cookbook for $20!!
I needed them like I need a hole in my head.
That genius phrase is from my father.
Apparently, I thought I needed a lot of things when I was a kid.
Good thing I out grew that.

  1. Here's the deal. Everyone falls on their bike. It happens to even the best riders. The good news is, you have gotten it out of the way and your bike knows better now!
