This was another good, solid workout for me. I ain't gonna lie, I was a bit nervous about that short run(yes, I know it's only 15min, I'm a whiner) after my bike. It's been awhile and I have put some miles on my legs this week.
I had nothing to worry about I was fine.
Strike a pose there's nothing to it.
She is making this whole training bit look too easy. At least try to sweat or someting.
Geesh.
I need a new sweatier model, preferably one who doesn't kick my butt all the time. ;-)
After my workout I went home, put my feet up and rested for the day.
I think that is how the dream went. Haha
We headed up to the rim for some cooler temps and fun at the lake.
I love the straight line the rim makes against the blue sky. Wonder where it gets it's name?
One of the things that makes the desert bearable for this South Dakota girl is it feels like home up in Northern AZ. Roughly a 2 hour drive and it's like I'm right back home chilling under the pine trees by the lake.
The smell of warm pine needles makes me feel like a kid.
I hope that someday my kids will say the same.
The fish weren't biting but the crawdads were. Todd rigged up a sweet crawdad pole for each of the kids and they caught a ton.
I had a creek right out my door growing up and I caught my fair share of crawdads but those boys put me to shame.
I pass the torch of Crawdad Slayer onto them.
The good thing about the fish not biting is dad has to buy dinner instead of cook it.
Dad can buy me dinner anytime. This was a killer burger loaded with Anaheim chilies, jalapenos and grilled onions.
AMAZING!
Thank you Jesus for legs that move so I can have cheeseburgers on the weekends, Amen.
In other AWESOME news....
This dimple cheeked baby tuned 3 today!!
I'll tell you all about it and the cupcakes (sorry, I got excited) tomorrow. I gotta go finish packing my 10yr old boy for camp. I know he won't shower or change while he's gone but I will feel better knowing I encouraged good hygiene by properly packing.
You never know what might happen at church camp. He could shower. I mean, I believe in miracles.

Nice job on the workouts, and fishing looks like fun. My kids keep begging to go fishing, I don't know a thing about it though. Funny since I am a MT girl, but my Dad hated fishing so we never went!
ReplyDeleteSwimming counts for showers in some households. I may or may not know which households think that is acceptable. ;)
