Workout- On the DL Thank you everyone for your kind comments yesterday. Your words of encouragement mean a lot to me.
Today was a big day in our house. Today we crossed over into teenager territory! Gulp.
I can't believe 13 years ago this guy came into the world. It seems like it takes forever for your baby to make his appearance and then one day they turn 13.
When they are infants you can't wait for the first smile, the first giggle, the first tooth. They grow more and you can't wait for them walk, talk, and feed themselves. Every first is so exciting.
Then one day you see it. The first glimpse of independence. Maybe they want to hold their own cup or get themselves dressed. Maybe it comes when you drop them of at preschool.
Whatever it is or whenever it happens, you know. You know that all those first you couldn't wait to happen. Happened, way too fast.
You long to smell their baby head and hear them say momma again for the first time.
And although time is still flying fast and you are still excited for all the new firsts, you pray they come a little slower.
Cause one day you can't wait to meet them and the next day they are blowing 13 candles out on a cake.
