Today was a winner

Workout- 20mile run (2hr, 56min) What can I say about this run?  Hmmm...well, I still love running.  I can say we hit a few rough patches today but we pulled through and our love is stronger for it.  There were tummy troubles, traffic troubles, leg cramps, a few climbs, and a jaunt through a wind tunnel.  It was awesome and it sucked but all in all, it was good.  
We were even able pick up the pace at the end and I think that is a good sign.  Yay running!
Yay, ice baths! You go in first.

YAY!!! Hey, my legs don't hurt.  
Mine either.
This is awesome.
So is eating a 12inch sub while the kiddies burn of some energy at MickyD's.  This is winning.
Scratch that.  This is winning!  
I kick off the morning with a 20mile run and end the day with a beer.  I might even finish the whole thing.  I know how to keep the fun rolling all day.  
Now if you'll excuse me I think I need to find some frozen vegetables, I have an owie. (Lets pray it was from the bad slanted road we ran on and nothing to serious, just soreness. I would hate to break up with running when it is getting so good.)


  1. Sounds like the perfect day. :) Hope your owie is simple soreness...running is usually such a giver, don't break up!

  2. Mickey D's! It has been my saving grace with my kids on more than one occasion. Great job on the run and surviving the ice bath. Brrr and no thank you! Hoping that owie is not serious!!!
