I visualize a great swim and talk pepitas

Workout- Swimming was the plan but they drained the pool.  Without even asking, rude.  I kinda feel like I'm not really moving when I swim anyway so I visualized my swim.  It was the best swim I ever had. :-)

The other day my friend, who is a walking book of knowledge when it comes the the health benefits of food, posted a tidbit on Facebook about pepitas (raw pumpkin seeds).  I have been eating pepitas forever.  I got sick of sunflower seeds one day and decided to try pepitas, tasty.  Turns out these babies are nutritional powerhouses.  Vitamins, minerals, proteins, and essential fatty acids, even anti-microbial properties, per her FB post.
Who knew?  Not me.  So I thought I would pass the good news on to you, just in case you didn't know either.
Chobani yogurt, blueberries, blackberries, and
pepitas!
I sprinkle the seeds on my morning yogurt, or oatmeal.
I top my salad at lunch, bake them into granola bars or just eat them out of the bag.  See those beets of to the side?  Turns out beets are crazy good for you too.  Yesterday, I was just showing off my health food skills I ate crumb cake the rest of the day.  I need to get Jocelyn to write a blog post on beet juice.  She is drinking up some beets at her house.  I guess they can cure everything and will help you win the lottery.  Sounds like a win, win to me.

Have you tried pepitas?  What do you put them on?
